A Safety & Security Associate at Catholic Charities politely welcomes, greets, and assists all residents and visitors, providing routine information or directing them to the appropriate staff/program. They conduct internal and external rounds throughout the facility to monitor and ensure safety. They monitor surveillance cameras and public areas to ensure no improper conduct or unauthorized persons are inside the facility and/or on agency property. They adhere to Agency confidentiality and HIPAA expectations. They respond and assist as appropriate to any emergencies in the building or on the grounds. They follow procedures and guidelines outlined in operating guidelines manual(s) to help maintain structure and order in the living environment. They accurately and promptly complete all required documentation/data, including entering relevant participant information in daily logs before ending shift assignment. They maintain current knowledge of ongoing events and changes by reading incident logs. They enforce property rules uniformly and consistently. They respond appropriately to needs and crises, such as mediating basic interpersonal problems between residents and summoning emergency personnel. They communicate with other staff to resolve problems with individual participants. They complete necessary records and reports, including on the computer or manually, as directed. They provide appropriate information and referrals. They keep the supervisor informed on property developments. They support, promote, and adhere to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values, and Code of Ethics. They reflect Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. They use creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery. They maintain confidentiality of resident and agency information. Regular and predictable attendance is expected. They complete security guard training and licensing. They complete all mandatory trainings and those required by the agency or supervisor.
