About The Position

This role is for an Overnight Program Supervisor within Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services residential treatment team, specifically for their children's IDD/Autism residential treatment program. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in their care, providing supervision to direct care staff, monitoring daily program operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and professional standards. The position also involves providing crisis prevention and intervention support, guidance, and feedback to direct reports, and participating in the orientation and ongoing training of new employees. The program serves boys and girls, ages 6 to 21, with intellectual and developmental disabilities ranging from mild to severe, exhibiting significant behavioral challenges. The program focuses on teaching skill development, positive behavioral change, communication, and self-care to help youth reach their fullest potential. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges. The services include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training, social skills training, and approved private school educational services. A primary focus is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS) to promote positive behaviors and prevent negative ones, creating safe and supportive living environments. Each year, over 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care to develop the academic, social, emotional, and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience.
  • OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above); and three years direct care experience.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
