About The Position

Under the supervision of the Coordinators of Bridges Crisis Unit and Crisis Services, provides an enhanced level of support for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with consumers who are in crisis. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required.
A minimum of one (1) years’ experience interacting with persons with emotional impairments required.
Must have experienced a significant disruption in their lives from the onset of a severe mental illness, have received public mental health services currently or in the past for the mental and are now in recovery.
Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI’s computer systems, including Smart Care and Microsoft Word.
Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
