OVERNIGHT LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR-Safety Sensitive
About The Position
This position is responsible for pulling customer orders accurately and efficiently, packing and repacking merchandise for shipment or delivery, loading merchandise for customer pickup and delivery, unloading trucks and verifying incoming merchandise, and stocking merchandise using a lift truck or tugger. The role requires adherence to all lift truck safety procedures and operating guidelines, providing excellent customer service, and responding to instructions from the Control Booth regarding order fulfillment. Additionally, the position involves maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, assisting other warehouse departments as needed, transferring merchandise and materials to designated locations, maintaining assigned aisles and storage areas, storing merchandise properly according to company standards, completing daily closing assignments and responsibilities, and performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a lift truck licensing test, including written and practical evaluations
- Must weigh less than 300 pounds in accordance with equipment manufacturer requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a positive attitude when assisting customers
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper merchandise handling procedures
- Follow company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety standards.
