Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a Jet Vac Operator to support its street-sweeping, jet-vac, and environmental services. The operator takes ownership of assigned routes, safely operates a Jet Vac truck and specialized vacuum equipment, and cleans storm drains, catch basins, culverts, and other drainage systems to help prevent flooding and improve public safety and environmental quality. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, on the third shift, with moderate travel (26–50%). Compensation is $24–$25 per hour, with eligibility for a first pay increase at six months. The operator inspects equipment before and after trips, confirms safety features are working, reviews routes before departure, completes assigned work within allotted timeframes, and follows traffic laws, company procedures, and site-specific protocols. The role also involves safely handling materials and following the correct procedures for their types and disposal sites; completing required logs, manifests, and forms; and promptly reporting equipment issues, incidents, injuries, near misses, and safety concerns. Operators are expected to communicate professionally, adapt to changing conditions, solve problems, and maintain reliable attendance. Work is primarily outdoors, with regular exposure to weather, the elements, and traffic, and occasional exposure to loud noise, dust or debris, and jarring conditions. The position requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment and the ability to meet the stated physical and cognitive demands. SCA describes a safety culture supported by a full-time safety team, training programs, and operating procedures.
