About The Position

Bi-Mart is seeking a dependable, motivated leader to manage its Overnight Freight Team. This working leadership position coordinates nightly operations and leads the crew in receiving, organizing, and stocking merchandise so the store is ready for the next business day. The manager works alongside team members to unload delivery trucks, organize inventory, stock merchandise, maintain an orderly backroom, and prepare the sales floor while promoting a safe and productive work environment. The role may also include a secondary Person in Charge (PIC) assignment. When scheduled as PIC, the manager serves as Manager on Duty and provides leadership for overall store operations. The schedule flexes between freight department duties and PIC responsibilities. Employees receive an additional $2.00 per hour while scheduled and working as PIC. This is an overnight position, typically four 10-hour shifts per week. Scheduled days and hours may vary by location, workload, and operational needs. The pay range is $19.75–$21.40 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with an on-demand payment option.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a department lead, cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or in another retail position.
Experience with retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons.

Responsibilities

Lead the overnight freight crew and coordinate nightly operations.
Receive, organize, and stock merchandise accurately and efficiently.
Work with the team to unload delivery trucks, organize inventory, maintain an orderly backroom, and prepare the sales floor for the next business day.
Coach, motivate, and support team members; delegate work and ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
When scheduled as PIC, serve as Manager on Duty and provide leadership and direction to store team members.
As PIC, receive and verify store shipments.
Support store profitability by controlling expenses, maintaining in-stock conditions, and ensuring promotional and basic merchandise is presented according to company standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized store and help identify maintenance concerns.
Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Help reduce inventory shrink through loss prevention and operational best practices.
Protect company assets and help minimize potential liabilities.
Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
Oversee daily store activities, including freight processing, merchandising, stocking, and other operational assignments.
