Overnight Freight Clerk
About The Position
Bi-Mart is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Overnight Freight Team. Overnight Freight Clerks are responsible for unloading freight, organizing inventory, stocking merchandise, and preparing the sales floor for the next business day. Responsibilities include safely unloading delivery trucks, moving merchandise throughout the store, stocking shelves, maintaining an organized backroom, and ensuring products are accurately placed and displayed. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, safety, and attention to detail. Team members work both independently and collaboratively to complete nightly freight goals.
Requirements
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise throughout the shift.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to following safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or other retail positions are a plus.
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons is also an asset!
