About The Position

Responsible for operating a forklift and transporting merchandise and materials throughout the club. The role assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing pallets, performing general maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining company policies and procedures, and providing Members with a positive service experience.

The position requires operating and inspecting a forklift safely, moving and stocking merchandise, maintaining a neat and organized club, and assisting Members. Team members may also work in other departments and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks; inspect trucks before unloading and accurately receive deliveries.
• Lift, reserve, and drop merchandise pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe storage by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise; maintain full stock and handle damaged or spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard and performing general maintenance.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service and assistance, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed.
