About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance on assigned properties to help keep them free from safety hazards and in aesthetically pleasing condition. The role responds to maintenance calls and concerns and supports other Maintenance Technicians when needed. Driving is an essential function. The position is part-time and requires overnight availability, with hours that can range between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Overnight availability, with hours ranging between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
General knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors, and management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

A degree from a two- or four-year college or university.
Experience with Yardi or equivalent software.

Responsibilities

Focus on the aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
Clean up grounds and parking lots.
Verify that lighting systems are operating properly.
Maintain cleanliness at entrances to tenant suites and spaces.
Perform routine checks and sign-offs for fire extinguishers and exit and emergency lights.
Remove snow and ice as necessary.
Identify potential safety hazards on properties.
Maintain landscapes and hardscapes.
Support other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
Keep the shop and working areas clean.
Respond to maintenance calls and concerns.
Drive as an essential function of the role.
