About The Position

The Overnight Engineering Supervisor provides technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department in support of the Director of Engineering. This hands-on, highly organized, and motivated team member helps ensure guest satisfaction and the timely resolution of maintenance issues. The role is identified as a PM shift position and assumes full responsibility for the Engineering Department when the Director of Engineering is absent.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team.
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and swimming pool knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and based on business and occupancy levels.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks starting at the same time.
Ability to follow direction and think on one's feet.
Ability to interact and communicate with hotel guests.

Nice To Haves

Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Engineering with upkeep of the preventative maintenance program, including maintaining logs, scheduling, and assigning projects and related tasks.
Assist with procuring supplies and issuing purchase orders.
Ensure CARE and PRP programs are maintained and inspect rooms after work is completed.
Manage the Synergy application daily, planning and updating it as needed.
Review work orders and assign work according to priorities.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light and power, and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the Director of Engineering's absence.
Understand Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation procedures.
Understand Omni's job scenarios.
Be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
