About The Position

The Overnight Engineering Supervisor supports the Director of Engineering by providing technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department. This hands-on, organized, and motivated team member helps ensure guest satisfaction and prompt resolution of maintenance issues. The position works the PM shift and may assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department when the Director of Engineering is absent.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team.
Willingness to work according to business and occupancy levels.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
Ability to follow direction and think on one's feet.
Ability to interact and communicate with hotel guests.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and swimming pool systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees.

Nice To Haves

Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Engineering with preventive maintenance, including maintaining work logs, scheduling, and assigning projects and related tasks.
Assist with procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work is complete.
Manage the Synergy application daily, planning and updating it as needed.
Review work orders and assign work according to priorities.
Maintain current inventories of heat, light and power, and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
Assume responsibility for the Engineering Department in the Director of Engineering's absence.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni job scenarios.
Be familiar with Omni Systems and Services procedures.
