Overnight Dog Care Attendant – Night Shift
About The Position
The Wags Club is an established cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility serving Santa Monica and West Los Angeles. We are hiring Overnight Dog Care Attendants for the night shift, from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role is for individuals who are comfortable working overnight and prefer an independent work environment. The position involves ensuring the safety, comfort, cleanliness, and proper care of boarding dogs throughout the night. The pace changes after the daytime operations wind down, but the responsibility remains high. We are looking for someone who can stay productive, pay attention to the dogs, and manage their time effectively while working independently.
Requirements
- Genuinely comfortable staying awake and productive overnight
- Likes working independently
- Dependable
- Observant
- Doesn't mind cleaning
- Follows detailed instructions accurately
- Comfortable around dogs of every size and personality
- Takes pride in leaving things ready for the next shift
Nice To Haves
- Pet-care experience is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor dogs overnight
- Watch for changes in health, behavior, or comfort
- Handle scheduled feedings and medications
- Clean and sanitize play and sleeping areas
- Complete laundry and routine facility cleaning
- Keep the facility organized
- Prepare everything the morning team needs
- Report unusual behavior, illness, or other concerns
