Part-Time Overnight Dog Care Attendant
About The Position
The Wags Club is seeking dependable individuals to join their overnight team for a part-time Dog Care Attendant position. This role involves working two nights a week, approximately 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling around 20 hours. This position is ideal for those seeking a flexible part-time job that accommodates school, other jobs, freelance work, or daytime commitments. The role requires a minimum commitment of two overnight shifts per week, with opportunities for additional shifts available. While the overnight shift is quieter, it is not a sleep shift and requires constant monitoring, cleaning, and preparation.
Requirements
- Show up reliably and on time
- Are comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Pay attention when something doesn't seem right
- Stay productive even when nobody is standing over them
- Understand that cleaning is an important part of animal care
- Can follow feeding, medication, and care instructions accurately
Nice To Haves
- Previous animal-care experience is welcome, but it isn't required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dogs throughout the night
- Monitor their health, comfort, and behavior
- Feed meals and administer medications as directed
- Keep play and sleeping areas clean and sanitary
- Handle laundry and routine facility cleaning
- Make sure dogs are comfortable and settled
- Prepare the facility for the morning team
- Report anything unusual or concerning to management
