About The Position

The Overnight Concierge & Security team member at The Barrington of Carmel, a BHI Senior Living Community, helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive senior living community overnight. The role combines customer service, resident support, and security duties, serving as a dependable point of contact for residents, visitors, and team members. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of receptionist, call-center, or administrative experience.
• Calm, dependable, and able to use good judgment in unexpected or emergency situations.
• Clear, respectful, and professional communication with residents, visitors, team members, and emergency personnel.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize responsibilities, and comfortable working independently overnight.
• Comfort learning and using basic computer systems, security software, surveillance equipment, and other technology.
• Excellent customer-service skills and an interest in creating a friendly, welcoming experience for residents and guests.
• Comfortable walking throughout the community and grounds during routine security rounds.

Nice To Haves

• First Aid and/or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact during the overnight shift for residents, visitors, and team members.
• Welcome people at the Concierge Desk, answer the main telephone line, and respond to questions and requests.
• Respond to Independent Living call lights, assist residents with needs or concerns, and escalate when additional assistance is needed.
• Conduct routine security rounds throughout buildings, grounds, and resident areas, and monitor activity using available security equipment.
• Manage after-hours entry and exits, secure doors and access points, and follow visitor and security procedures.
• Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and unusual or suspicious activity; coordinate access for emergency personnel when needed.
• Accept overnight deliveries and ensure supplies are distributed and stored appropriately.
• Complete security, incident, and other required reports, and assist with record maintenance.
• Assist with overnight in-services, audits, staff communication, life-safety drills, and other quality-assurance activities as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment while providing courteous, professional service.
