About The Position
This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Responsibilities include stocking, straightening, and rotating product on shelves in various departments, processing incoming product, and understanding shelf tags. The role also requires sorting damaged product for credit and operating equipment such as a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler. Adherence to company safety guidelines is crucial when using these tools. Maintaining the cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, and refrigerated areas is also a key duty. Teammates are expected to meet company productivity standards, and other duties may be assigned by store management.
Requirements
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview
- Bending
- Stooping
- Able to stock 50 cases per hour
- Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
- Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
- Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
- Able to pull loaded stock truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
