About The Position

Eliot is seeking an Overnight Awake Counselor for its Developmental Disabilities residential program serving adults with intellectual disabilities. The program provides person-centered support and high-quality services that help individuals enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. The counselor must remain awake, alert, and available throughout the night to provide assistance and support as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to drive the residence van.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle.
• Must be awake, alert, and available to individuals throughout the night.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support residents, providing assistance and intervention as needed.
• Assist individuals with morning routines, including meal preparation, hygiene, and related tasks.
• Administer medication in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Perform housekeeping and personal care tasks as needed.
• Provide support and training to promote personal growth and accomplishment, including social, behavioral, and personal care support.
• Report significant health, safety, and behavioral concerns.
