About The Position

Eliot is seeking an Overnight Awake Counselor for its Developmental Disabilities residential program serving adults with intellectual disabilities. The residential program provides a person-centered continuum of services and innovative, high-quality programming. It supports individuals in enriching their lives, developing social and daily living skills, and building social and community connections. The counselor must remain awake, alert, and available throughout the night to provide assistance and support as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to drive a program vehicle.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support residents, providing assistance and intervention as needed.
• Assist individuals with morning routines, including meal preparation, hygiene, and related tasks.
• Administer medication in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Perform housekeeping and personal care tasks as needed.
• Provide support and training to promote personal growth and accomplishment, which may include social, behavioral, and personal care support.
• Report significant health, safety, and behavioral concerns.
