About The Position

The Crane Operator/Loader handles materials related to shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager and works the second shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes.
• High school diploma or GED; alternatively, 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated reliable work history.
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Understand the products being handled, including color coding and customer specifications, and read and interpret measuring devices.
• Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Safely load trucks, including chaining and tarping trailers properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
