Overhead Crane Operator-Loader - 1st Shift

About The Position

The Crane Operator/Loader handles materials related to shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and works 1st shift, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment.
Valid certification to operate overhead cranes.
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated reliable work history.
Willingness to learn new skills and train others.
Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
Understand the products being handled, including color coding and customer specifications, and read and interpret measuring devices.
Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Safely load trucks, including properly chaining and tarping trailers.
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
