About The Position

Hydraulic Controls, Inc. is a premier fluid power distributor with territories throughout the Western United States. This role involves selling products for a distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals at the customer's place of business.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience building business relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

  • Drives daily within assigned sales territory.
  • Makes outbound lead follows-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
  • Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
  • Tracks stock levels.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Builds and maintains customers’ relationships.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM.
  • Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
