About The Position

Establish new customers and maintain long lasting relationships to uncover sales opportunities in order to grow the footprint of Plimpton & Hills Corporation within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean motor vehicle record

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience (HVAC, plumbing, construction, or related industry strongly preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Understand and anticipate the needs of customers
  • Work to expand and maintain a database of prospects within an assigned territory
  • Proactively seek opportunities to obtain new customers and research potential clients/accounts in order to identify key players
  • Use active listening skills to gain knowledge on what products fit client needs and introduce these products to clients accordingly
  • Stay current on existing and emerging product by attending trainings
  • Follow-up on all generated quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solution
  • Generate profitable sales orders
  • Successfully close, on-board, and retain accounts using sales and customer service processes
  • Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
  • Maintain ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and company/branch goals in the marketplace with builders, contractors, architects, professional remodelers etc. in order to grow profitable sales
  • Continuously expand product knowledge in order to best service the customer
  • Determine product sale price in accordance with company procedure as well as address questions about product availability
  • Keep pricing lists and structures confidential
