About The Position

Lindsay Precast Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Development/Outside Sales Representative focused on revenue growth. The role is suited to someone who enjoys winning new business, developing partnerships, and helping the company expand into new industries and markets. The successful candidate will work closely with operations to deliver a customer experience that encourages repeat business.

Products include utility structures, box culverts, arches, tunnels, three-sided structures, junction chambers, and foundations, as well as precast alternatives to cast-in-place concrete. The position is based in Canal Fulton, Ohio, is full-time, and involves travel of up to 50%.

Requirements

• Three years of related experience.
• Previous experience in construction, engineering, electrical engineering, or technology industries.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong understanding of materials and product drawings.
• Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to grow.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales growth and develop new opportunities.
• Develop opportunities in industries including energy, data centers, industrial, and transportation.
• Contact existing customers, identify new opportunities, and follow up on potential leads.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and develop their trust and confidence.
• Position the company’s products and services as solutions to client needs.
• Recommend new or enhanced products and service features by soliciting client feedback, monitoring industry trends, and tracking the competitive environment.
• Negotiate contracts and use effective order-closing strategies to secure orders.
• Work hand in hand with operations to provide a customer experience that develops into repeat business.
