About The Position

Our client, based in Dallas, TX, specializes in the kitchen ventilation and appliance industry, manufacturing and selling custom range hoods nationwide. With continued growth across its dealer network, the sales team is expanding and looking for an Outside Sales Representative who can build strong dealer relationships, support customers throughout the sales process, and help drive continued revenue growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys combining relationship building, outside sales, account management, customer service, and order management in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Sales-driven, customer-focused professional who is comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
Previous experience in outside sales, dealer sales, account management, inside/outside sales, or business-to-business sales.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to confidently communicate with dealers and customers in person, by telephone, and through email.
Experience preparing quotations and converting quotes into customer orders.
Familiarity with order entry, purchase orders, inventory availability, pricing, and order fulfillment.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate product catalogs and order-processing systems.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking sales environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions for customer and order-related issues.
Ability to identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell related products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with NAV or similar ERP/order management systems is a plus.
Experience within the appliance, kitchen ventilation, home improvement, building products, dealer distribution, or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Sell the client's products and services to dealers by processing orders, responding to pricing and delivery inquiries, answering product questions, and soliciting customer orders.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with dealers and customers through in-person interaction, telephone, and email communication.
Manage orders from the initial quotation through receipt and entry of the purchase order.
Prepare customer and dealer quotes and follow up on open quotations to help convert opportunities into purchase orders.
Identify solutions for special conditions and requirements involving custom orders.
Process dealer and customer orders and provide timely order acknowledgements.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer and dealer inquiries.
Verify product availability, inventory quantities, pricing, and anticipated ship dates.
Increase order value by recommending related products, explaining product features, and reviewing dealer purchasing history to identify additional sales opportunities.
Provide product and parts lookup assistance and support customers with ordering questions.
Process and expedite orders accurately and efficiently.
Work closely with management regarding product returns and returns to vendors.
Enter and process purchase orders in the NAV system, verifying pricing, availability, and inventory quantities.
Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues that arise with orders, quotes, products, or delivery.
Maintain consistent communication with dealers throughout the sales and order fulfillment process.
Keep the Department Manager informed of daily sales activities, customer concerns, red flags, and issues involving orders or quotations.
Communicate effectively and contribute positively as a member of the sales team.
Recommend process improvements that can positively impact sales performance, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Perform additional sales and customer support responsibilities as needed.
