About The Position

Xylem is seeking a Rental Sales Representative to represent the Godwin brand. The Sales Rep will be responsible for driving rental growth for Godwin pumps, bypass systems, and related dewatering solutions within the Minnesota territory. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to expand the customer base, increase rental revenue, and strengthen customer relationships across municipal, industrial, construction, and emergency response markets. The representative will identify new opportunities, manage existing accounts, and collaborate with operations and service teams to deliver responsive, reliable rental solutions. Success requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a territory in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Proven experience in business development or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM and business management software, such as Salesforce and ProWorkflow.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A track record of identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers

  • Ensure all contracts are accurate and complete
  • Collect necessary payments and deposits
  • Handle contract extensions, modifications, and terminations
  • Process rental reservations and payments
  • Maintain and update customer and rental records
  • Generate reports on rental activity and sales performance
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure rental products are in safe and working condition
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and schedule repairs as needed
  • Provide safety instructions and guidelines to customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized rental area
