About The Position

Nippon Shokken U.S.A., the No.1 sauce company in Japan, is seeking a Business Development Manager in Houston, TX. This role involves building relationships with new and existing customers, introducing premium sauces and seasonings to American food businesses, and expanding the company's presence beyond its traditional Asian customer base. The position requires 80% travel within the assigned territory and 20% office work. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Comfortable with 80% travel throughout the Southern CA and its neighboring States
  • Able to lift 40+ lbs (product samples and materials)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Coachable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in Japanese (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of sales experience in food industry

Responsibilities

  • Report to the office each morning to plan your day and coordinate appointments
  • Visit clients in your territory to maintain and develop business relationships
  • Prepare sales contracts and process orders
  • Track sales data and performance in our CRM system
  • Meet or exceed sales targets with support from our experienced team
  • Business travel assigned as needed (10 days per month at least)
  • Cooking demonstration to showcase our products
