About The Position

Morton Industries is hiring for an Outside Sales Manager! This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and developing business opportunities within the Southeast Texas and Gulf Coast Region. The focus will be on promoting Morton Enclosures' industrial and electrical enclosure solutions, managing customer accounts, and achieving sales targets. Morton Industries has built a reputation for excellence in tube, sheet, and enclosure fabrication over 80 years, serving OEMs and startups globally with 5 facilities across the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the industrial or electrical enclosure industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of NEMA enclosure standards and industrial control applications.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively within the region.
  • Results-driven with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, integrators, system houses, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed regional sales goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Generate quotes, proposals, and contracts tailored to customer specifications.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site visits to understand customer operations and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by promoting Morton Enclosures' values and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify regional opportunities for promotional activities, trade shows, and events.
  • Provide feedback on market conditions and customer needs to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Track and report sales metrics, pipeline progress, and forecasting data to the leadership team.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and production, to ensure on-time delivery and quality assurance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
