About The Position

Setpoint Systems Corporation is seeking a motivated and energetic Outside Sales Account Manager to join their team in the Rocky Mountain Region. This role focuses on driving sales of Building Automation Systems (BAS) to improve efficiency and life safety for clients. The ideal candidate is a "hunter" with a consultant’s heart, skilled in building high-level relationships and closing complex technical deals. As the face of Setpoint, you will analyze client facilities, propose customized solutions, cultivate a network of industry contacts, and ensure seamless project execution through collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Staying updated on IoT and smart building trends is also key to positioning Setpoint as an industry leader.

Requirements

  • Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within building systems, automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle, CRM management, and value-based selling.
  • Elite time management skills with the ability to balance prospecting with active account management.
  • Ready and willing to travel within the designated territory to meet clients where they are.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but high-level relevant experience and a "can-do" mindset are highly valued.
  • Technical acumen and eagerness to become a subject matter expert in Delta Controls and open protocols.
  • Ability to connect with diverse stakeholders, from mechanical contractors to C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement aggressive sales initiatives to expand our client base and dominate the regional market.
  • Act as a technical advisor, deeply analyzing client facilities to propose customized, energy-saving BAS solutions.
  • Cultivate a powerful network of contractors, facility owners, and consulting engineers to ensure Setpoint is the first name called for new projects.
  • Utilize our proven sales framework and CRM tools to maintain peak operational efficiency and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with our Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the "winning vision" you sell is executed flawlessly in the field.
  • Stay at the forefront of IoT and smart building trends to position Setpoint as the innovative leader in the industry.
