About The Position

SunSource is seeking a driven, solutions-focused Outside Sales Account Manager to join their Fluid Power team in the Sterling Heights, MI area. This role involves building relationships, solving technical challenges, and driving growth within one of North America's leading value-add industrial distribution companies. The company provides customers with products and value-added solutions in Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Repair.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of B2B industrial sales experience
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR a 2-year technical degree (Fluid Power focus)
  • Fluid Power sales is a strong plus and preferred
  • Hands-on experience with fluid power systems, components, and troubleshooting is a big advantage

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in collaboration with your District Sales Manager
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and presentations
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with existing customers across a defined territory
  • Leverage support from expert inside sales and technical teams to deliver value-added solutions
  • Use CRM tools and data insights to effectively manage your pipeline and territory
