About The Position

The Outside Processing & Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of parts to and from outside processing vendors while ensuring all required paperwork and documentation is accurate and complete. This position also performs shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and maintaining accurate records of parts in transit. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong attention to detail to ensure parts, quantities, paperwork, and vendor requirements are properly coordinated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous forklift experience; ability to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and other manufacturing paperwork.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and transportation personnel.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with outside processing vendors.
  • SAP or other ERP system experience.
  • Experience with inventory transactions and material tracking.
  • Previous experience coordinating freight or transportation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain paperwork and documentation for parts being sent to outside processing vendors.
  • Coordinate the shipment and return of parts to and from outside processing suppliers.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, purchase orders, and other required documentation before shipments leave the facility.
  • Receive and inspect incoming processed parts for proper identification and documentation.
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
  • Safely move, stage, and organize materials throughout the facility.
  • Ensure parts are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts sent to and received from outside processors.
  • Enter and maintain information in the company's ERP system, such as SAP.
  • Communicate with outside vendors, freight carriers, production personnel, purchasing, and other departments regarding the status and movement of parts.
  • Identify and report discrepancies involving quantities, paperwork, damaged materials, or missing parts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and material-handling requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
