As an Outside Operator, you will play a hands-on role in keeping the Dell Power Plant in Dell, Arkansas running safely, smoothly, and reliably. Working on a rotating shift schedule, you’ll be part of the team that supports 24/7 power generation by operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment that keeps power moving. From gas turbines and steam turbines to HRSGs, pumps, motors, water treatment systems, and plant auxiliary equipment, this role brings variety, teamwork, and real impact every shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to complete site-specific Plant Operator qualifications within 6 months and Control Room Operator qualifications within 2 years after Plant Operator completion.
  • Knowledge of combustion turbine operations, plant equipment, and low- to medium-voltage electrical system operations.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, standby status, nights, weekends, and respond to plant emergencies when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of combined cycle power plant experience.
  • Experience with HRSGs, steam turbines, gas turbines, auxiliary systems, water chemistry, or plant maintenance operations.
  • A safety-first, team-focused mindset with the confidence to troubleshoot, communicate clearly, and jump in where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Keep plant equipment operating safely and efficiently by monitoring systems, reading gauges, adjusting equipment, operating valves, and responding to changing conditions.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and support repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment across the plant floor.
  • Team up with CROs, shift supervisors, and fellow operators to support work requests, safety procedures, emergency response, equipment testing, and continuous improvement.
