About The Position

The Outside Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club’s outside golf operations. This role ensures exceptional member and guest experiences through effective leadership, staff training, operational organization, and facility maintenance. The position works closely with Golf Professional Staff, Clubhouse Management, and other departments to ensure seamless daily operations and successful execution of events. This position will oversee the entire outside golf operation with duties including but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service – Lead/train/supervise all outside staff in welcoming members/guests to the club.
  • Setup/Train/supervise all outside staff with regards to daily operations including carts/member bags/push carts/water coolers/range setup/bag room/rental clubs/towel service/sand on carts/radios/rental clubs/update dry erase board with necessary information.
  • Responsible for outing setup/member events including cart staging/signage/range setup.
  • This position will work closely with Professional staff to ensure all daily/weekly communication is updated and all staff members have a clear understanding of tasks/events/etc.
  • This position shall train/supervise outside staff on policies/procedures in the event of inclement weather to ensure everyone is safe.
  • This position will also be responsible for any basic maintenance items around the Golf Shop/Clubhouse/Staging area.
  • Cart Fleet Management/clean/rotate/maintain water in staff carts/update maintenance sheet when necessary/maintain picker cart (communicate with mechanic).
  • Maintain/clean all areas around bag room/clubhouse/locker room
  • Maintain par levels of cleaning supplies/trash bags/locker room supplies for daily operation/locker room.
  • Clean hitting bays.
  • Responsible for promoting consistency with every shift…uniforms/greeting/assignments/podium/checking bag tags.
  • Communicate with Clubhouse Manager/Staff – help with food & beverage on-course delivery when necessary.
  • Train outside staff on range ball dispenser management/procedures.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings with department heads/GM/Professional Staff/Clubhouse Staff/Superintendent.
  • Assist Clubhouse staff with event setup/tear down.
