Southwest Boulder & Stone is a family-owned and operated landscape rock and supply company based in Southern California, with retail locations across the region. We specialize in low-maintenance, sustainable, and drought-tolerant landscaping and building materials. Architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners rely on us for a vast selection of boulders, crushed stone, decomposed granite, flagstone, natural thin veneer, cobble, pebbles, outdoor stone fountains, and custom fabrication. Requirements

  • History of success and a minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience.
  • Previous experience in sales, business management, or customer service.
  • Strong computer skills and ERP experience.
  • Effective sales and negotiation skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Customer focused with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Active on social media and understand the value of each platform (including LinkedIn).
  • Must have valid CA Driver's License with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers and secure appointments to share SWB’s mission and product offerings.
  • Manage existing accounts on a daily basis to ensure superior customer service.
  • Using the company CRM tool, prepare a weekly sales plan that shows initiated sales, sales leads, and prospects as well as account penetration.
  • Learn and understand the basic applications of the products that we sell and how they benefit our customers and their projects.
  • Work with internal and external sources to find new product offerings to present to clients.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly sales meetings.
  • Build & develop strategic relationships with customers.
  • Generate new leads for all territories.
  • Learn and relay industry information to Sales Manager.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on new & existing products.
  • Research and analyze competitor product pricing and sales approach.
  • Establish attainable sales goals with Sales Manager.
  • Meet with Sr. Management bi-weekly for sales review.
  • Review open / pending orders and reconcile monthly.
  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, customer accounts, and sales trends.
  • Visit completed project sites to take pictures, and submit those pictures and copy of sales orders every Friday.
