About The Position

As an Outreach Youth Worker/Adolescent Health Specialist, you will initiate contact and build relationships with youth who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness. You will provide collaborative, street-based care with a partner and/or conduct group sessions to deepen relationships with youth, provide in-kind and other support and case management while assisting youth to achieve safe housing. You will use a harm reduction approach and provide supplies to street engaged youth while educating them on topics of central concern relating to basic needs, health, education, and housing. You will be required to maintain records, database and documentation, complete program reports, and participate in program related training and networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Health, Youth Studies, or related field plus one year of experience working with youth or an Associate's degree in related field plus one year of experience.
• Experience in street outreach and youth work.
• Knowledge of youth work that includes positive youth development, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care.
