About The Position

Resource Central is seeking a Bilingual Spanish/English Outreach & Events Coordinator to lead communication and engagement efforts for their Materials Reuse program. This role focuses on extending conservation benefits to diverse community members, including Latino families, veterans, seniors, women, and low-income households. The program diverts millions of pounds of building materials from landfills annually, making them available at affordable prices. The Coordinator will drive program participation by connecting with the community through new communication channels, hosting and attending events, communicating with participants, and translating marketing materials from English to Spanish. This position also involves developing partnerships with local organizations and supporting funding requests. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Boulder, with some flexibility for remote work while maintaining attendance at community events across the Front Range.

Requirements

  • Completely fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both.
  • At least 2 years of experience preferred leading community outreach or mission-driven programs.
  • Technical proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated accountability to manage budgets, timelines, logistics, reporting, performance tracking, and work effectively with others for smooth program execution.
  • Experience building partnerships with municipalities or community organizations to support program impact.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to off-site events and meetings across the Front Range, including weekends.
  • Must pass and maintain a clean background check and driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the trades and construction industries.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, deconstruction, building trades, or reuse practices that help reduce waste.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment at the Materials Reuse facility by hosting bilingual events and being available to share program benefits with the community.
  • Encourage first-time and repeat participation in the Materials Reuse program.
  • Translate marketing materials and website content from English to Spanish.
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking participants to answer questions and provide support.
  • Help create and execute an initiative to expand participation in reuse and increase conservation impact through new communication channels and events.
  • Focus on reaching Latino families, veterans, seniors, women, and low-income families.
  • Represent Resource Central by presenting at and/or tabling at outreach events.
  • Engage with attendees about conservation programs.
  • Commute to relevant opportunities across the Front Range.
  • Support on-site events with planning, setup, breakdown, participant engagement, and community outreach.
  • Meet with contractors, tradespeople, labor groups, businesses, and community groups to establish partnerships.
  • Increase waste diversion, donations, and program participation through partnerships.
  • Help review requests for donations or discounts for community members.
  • Facilitate the tracking of needs-based funding and approval process.
  • Help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central.
