Outreach Coordinator I
About The Position
The Outreach Coordinator I will be responsible for building strategic relationships within the community, increasing awareness of the organization's social work, and driving revenue collection through donor engagement. This role involves active participation in community events, managing service programs, and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. The coordinator will also be responsible for executing campaigns, fundraisers, and special events, engaging individuals in need of social services, and growing the local volunteer base. Additionally, the position requires promoting the organization's services, developing new revenue initiatives, producing visual content, and ensuring compliance with operational policies. A key aspect of the role involves developing and implementing targeted outreach strategies for refugee and immigrant communities, ensuring cultural appropriateness and linguistic accessibility of materials, and coordinating health education workshops and community events. The coordinator will also collaborate with partners to identify and engage potential participants and represent the organization at various community functions.
Requirements
- Experience in management of a social work, interaction with other agencies, government bodies, and other volunteer programs.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or something equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as MS Excel, Word, Power point etc.
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory.
- Language/Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability
- Fluency in the English language is compulsory.

Responsibilities
- Build strategic relationships with community leadership including Masjids, Community Leaders, and Islamic Organizations
- Increase awareness about the organization and its social work in the local community
- Responsible for revenue collection, donor retention, bring in new to organization donors
- Follow up with donors via phone, email and in person visits.
- Prepare report on in-person visits with donors
- Participate in community groups, steering communities, forging partnerships with supporting organizations
- Perform day to day duties of all the service programs as assigned by the Field Office Area Manager
- Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, record keeping and provide timely reports
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries on the field relief work
- Execute national campaigns, banquets, fundraisers, and other special events of service programs
- Engage needy individuals requiring social service assistance
- Recruit, train, maintain and increase the local volunteer base
- Attend all required company meetings
- Collaborate with related organizational members and their boards
- Respond promptly to all enquiries from donors and potential donors by providing information and promotion materials as required
- Ensure the availability of company’s marketing materials (flyers, posters, banners etc.) at community centers, Masajid, vendors and other places
- Promote and market the organization and its services
- Develop new and creative initiatives to increase revenue
- Produce high quality pictures/videos and client stories from our relief services
- Comply with all operational policies and procedures
- Formal pantry operation with different ethnic groups
- Work on the path of grants to increase financial resources.
- Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to engage refugee and immigrant communities.
- Assist in promoting program services to potential participants through outreach activities and community engagement.
- Ensure that all outreach materials and program delivery are culturally appropriate and linguistically accessible to maximize interest and participation.
- Plan and coordinate health education workshops, group sessions, and community events.
- Conduct presentations and outreach activities in collaboration with community partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community- and faith-based organizations, including mosques, cultural centers, foundations, associations, and school districts.
- Collaborate with partners to identify and engage individuals who may benefit from program services.
- Represent the organization at community events, resource fairs, and stakeholder meetings.
