About The Position

This part-time position (20 hours per week, Monday-Friday) will support the Community Engagement and Outreach areas. The role involves working closely with staff to provide resources for the older adult population in Licking County, both in person and by phone. Additionally, the position will maintain relationships with individual and organization donors of LCAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals, displaying common sense and good judgment while actively promoting LCAP. Upholding the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity is essential, as is representing the organization positively and professionally at all times. A demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations, standard office equipment, and Microsoft Office services is required.

  • Possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with older adults.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Dependable, organized, and strong judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Development or fundraising experience, and/or experience with a CRM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Community Engagement programs including Fan Program, Pet Food Pantry, Commodity Box distribution, and SmileMaker (telephone reassurance) calls.
  • Provide monthly reporting of funds and other inter-departmental spreadsheets.
  • Assist with event coordination including registrations, ticket sales, setup, and cleanup.
  • Maintain and organize program materials (e.g., Veterans Wall).
  • Provide highly professional, positive customer service to all constituents.
  • Represent LCAP in a professional and welcoming manner during programs and activities.
  • Assist in gift processing and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Support donor stewardship projects including acknowledgement letters, assisting in the creation of new templates and ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Provide reception backup, effectively answering and routing calls on a multi-line phone system while multi-tasking.
  • Greet visitors and provide directions or assistance.
  • Assist participants with daily check-in.
  • Track daily donations and program income.
  • Maintain and update mailing lists.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned.
