As an Outpatient Therapist at AWS, you'll be a catalyst for change. We believe that combining traditional talk therapy with alternative, somatic modalities helps clients achieve faster, sustainable results without depending solely on psychotropics. Within our thoughtfully designed Biddeford Wellness Center, you will cultivate an inviting space for clients from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. You will have the unique opportunity to seamlessly integrate advanced wellness technologies into your clients' care plans, including: 360-Degree Trifecta Pro Wellness Chamber (Red Light): Improves mood, sleep, and reduces inflammation, pain, symptoms of depression and SAD. Alpha-Stim: Utilizes CES to safely treat anxiety, insomnia, depression, and manage pain. BrainTap: Uses audio/light frequencies to guide clients into deep, stress-relieving meditative states. Cold Plunges: Triggers a massive release of endorphins/dopamine—especially powerful for clients in early recovery. Infrared Saunas: Lowers cortisol levels and promotes restorative sleep and cellular detoxification.

Requirements

Active Maine license as an LMSW-CC, LCSW, LCPC, or LCPC-conditional.
Masters in social work or counseling.
Ability to pass comprehensive background check.
Current, valid Maine Driver's License (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) and record acceptable to AWS and the Agency's auto insurance carrier.
Current proof of personal auto insurance.
Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, EHR software, and other agency utilized computer programs.
Ability to travel to the main office in Biddeford for occasional training or company events.

Nice To Haves

New grads strongly encouraged to apply.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience with integrated healthcare and substance use treatment preferred.
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule in accordance with employee, client, and programmatic needs.
Possesses strong and diverse clinical knowledge, including fluency in recovery-oriented services, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and the treatment of co-occurring disorders, along with a solid understanding of the principles of harm reduction.
Demonstrated experience in developing successful relationships with key work partners.
