About The Position
Child Guidance & Family Solutions is seeking compassionate Outpatient Therapists to provide mental and behavioral health counseling services to children and families in its Akron office. The therapist provides an atmosphere of trust, acceptance, and hope for clients. Services include mental health and co-occurring disorders assessments, individual, family, and group counseling, CPST, and crisis intervention. The organization provides mental health services for children, teens, adults, and families. Therapists meet clients in offices, pediatricians’ offices, homes, childcare centers, and elementary, middle, and high schools.
Requirements
- LPC, LPCC, LISW, or LSW with a master’s degree.
- Experience providing therapy to children and families, including strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software and the ability to learn and use Epic EHR and other systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and small group counseling.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to establish appropriate treatment goals and objectives for clients.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Provide guidance to facilitate clients’ normal growth and development and help them understand and solve current and potential problems.
