Requirements

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in multiple areas.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle changes to their daily routine.
  • Must be a CVT or board eligible.
  • CVT or board eligible--must sit for boards within 3 months of hire. 0–1-year experience (Veterinary Technician A)
  • CVT and 2-3 years of experience (Veterinary Technician B)
  • CVT and 3-5 years of experience (Veterinary Technician C)
  • CVT and 5-8 years of experience (Veterinary Technician D)
  • CVT and 8 + years of experience (Veterinary Technician E)

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining lab work on outpatients
  • Instructing veterinary students and veterinary nursing students on patient care
  • Patient triage
  • Assisting with discharges/billing/scheduling
  • Client communication
  • Venipuncture/IV catheter placement
  • Sedation of stable patients
