About The Position

Iris Telehealth is seeking a passionate Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for a fully remote outpatient opportunity to provide high-quality behavioral health care. This role is based in Virginia, treating children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-21. The position is full-time, offering the support of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and comprehensive administrative support. The goal is to expand access to high-quality behavioral health care. The role involves treating general mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, and other behavioral health conditions. Appointments are 60 minutes for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for follow-up appointments. The position is 100% remote, with clinic hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and until 7:00 PM ET on Tuesdays and Thursdays, requiring one late evening per week. Administrative time is allocated at 60 minutes per day. The EMR system used is Credible. No on-call duties or NP supervision are required. Iris Telehealth provides licensing support for Virginia licensure, including fees, for eligible candidates.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
  • Active Virginia medical license preferred, but not required; Iris will support eligible candidates with obtaining Virginia licensure.
  • Availability for 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, including one evening per week until 7:00 PM ET.
  • Experience and comfort treating children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5–21.
  • Experience and comfort treating patients across varying acuity levels.
  • Reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.

  • Telehealth experience preferred.
  • Experience using Credible is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality behavioral health care to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-21.
  • Treat general mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, and other behavioral health conditions.
  • Conduct initial evaluations (60 minutes) and follow-up appointments (30 minutes).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and administrative support staff.
  • Utilize the Credible EMR system.
  • Work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, including one evening per week until 7:00 PM ET.
  • Complete 60 minutes of administrative time per day.
