About The Position

Oversees outpatient pharmacy operations, including the development of programs at all sites. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the outpatient pharmacy location. Coordinates departmental performance improvement activities and participates in hospital performance improvement activities. Provides quality patient care. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and 1-2 years experience
  • Previous experience in a meds to beds program or 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed Pharmacist - MO
  • Licensed Pharmacist - KS
  • PHARM LIC MO Licensed Pharmacist - MO or proof of pharmacy technician license, pharmacy intern license, or application submitted to board of pharmacy prior to hire with pharmacist license obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS or proof of pharmacy technician license, pharmacy intern license, or application submitted to board of pharmacy prior to hire with pharmacist license obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
  • Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Management and development of outpatient programs and services at all sites.
  • Staffing and personnel management.
  • Maintains competence required for current job title/position.
