About The Position

The Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse uses the Nursing Process collaboratively to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within their scope of practice. The nurse supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing and their assigned unit. They provide care and complete assessments before, during, and after chemotherapy and radiation therapy, closely monitor patients during these periods and procedures, and notify physicians as needed.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of department-specific orientation.
• Successful completion of department-specific Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be granted through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
