About The Position

St. George Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse to provide specialized infusion and vascular access care. The RN is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients receiving infusion therapies. The role supports oncology patients throughout treatment through patient education, symptom management, monitoring therapy response, and ongoing care. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary partners to promote safe, high-quality outcomes and build continuity of care with patients and families.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of starting employment.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Nice To Haves

Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN).
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification.
Oncology infusion or chemotherapy experience.
Experience administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusion therapies.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients receiving infusion therapies.
Deliver specialized infusion and vascular access care to oncology patients.
Support patients through oncology treatment, education, symptom management, and ongoing care.
Monitor infusion therapies and assess patient responses to promote safe, high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care partners.
Document patient care and access information needed for care, including medication preparation.
Assist with transferring, transporting, and ambulating patients and with obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
