Always Do the Right Thing Leave It Better Than You Found It Drive to Mastery and Discovery The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Outpatient Neurosurgery team. The NP will play a pivotal role in the preoperative and postoperative management of neurosurgical patients in the outpatient setting, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, as well as contributing to the success of our clinical programs. This is a full-time, weekday position offering a rewarding opportunity to work alongside renowned neurosurgeons and a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity medical center. The NP manage patients across two neurosurgical subspecialties, the Functional Program and the Brain Tumor Program. This includes intracranial pathologies, including brain tumors and other neoplasms, as well as patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for functional neurosurgical disorders (eg: Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, epilepsy). Responsibilities will include assessment, coordination of diagnostic workups, perioperative optimization, longitudinal follow-up care, patient and family education, and close collaboration with surgical, oncology, neurology, and allied health teams to ensure continuity and excellence in care. Additionally, as a key stakeholder in the success of these programs, the Nurse Practitioner collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, supports quality improvement initiatives, and helps drive strategic goals. Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery processes, monitoring performance metrics, fostering team communication, and serving as a key liaison between staff, leadership, and external partners.
