Requirements
- Masters Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Three (3) years clinical experience
- Registered Nurse: AZ
- Registered Nurse Practitioner: AZ
- Nurse Practitioner - AANPCP
- Credentialed as allied health professional with CRMC and MGMC
- DEA Drug Enforcement Administration-Control Sub Reg Cert: AZ
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience as Neurosurgery NP
- CNRN - Certified Neuroscience RN

Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients admitted to Neurosurgery at Chandler Regional Medical Center in collaboration with the physician/medical director.
- Assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within your scope of practice.
- Take patient's history, perform physical examinations, order appropriate diagnostic tests, establish diagnosis, and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, or discharge.
- Make appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans.
- Provide care and management for acutely ill patients.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- See patients in intensive care units or other high-acuity settings.
- Strategically deliver comprehensive, specialized patient care, assuming clinical responsibility for assessing, diagnosing, and managing common illnesses and acute conditions, often in critical care settings.
- Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise in performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans, while actively participating in quality assurance and ensuring appropriate referrals and care management.
- Complete hospital and department documentation legibly, accurately and within designated timeframe.
- Work in collaboration with sponsoring physician, case management and staff nurses to provide patient care.
- Comply with legal restrictions regarding lines of authority, supervision and communication.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, nursing departments, ancillary staff on behalf of patients and their families.
