The ChristianaCare Outpatient Radiology Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time MRI Technologist to work day shift at Concord Health Center.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an MRI technologist.
Completion of two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required.
Completion of ARRT registry in MRI required (achieved within two years of hire).
State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required.
Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.
An associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
Certification in CPR.
Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
Completion of IV training course.
State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required. if applicable.
The successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans and safety screenings according to departmental policy and guidelines.
Provide direction and guidance to the technical staff and clerical staff.
Perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed.
