About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC) is expanding its team in Lansdowne, VA, and is seeking an MRI Technologist for its outpatient facility. The Lansdowne MRI Center is equipped with advanced imaging technology, including a NEW GE 3T Premier, Philips 3T with Ambient Experience, and a GE 1.5T system. This role offers a supportive, team-oriented outpatient environment with a Monday-Friday schedule, no weekends, holidays, or call. FRC values respect, growth, and work-life balance, providing opportunities to expand skills with GE cross-training.
Requirements
- 6+ months MRI experience or completion of a formal MRI training program.
- Certification: ARRT (R) or MRI, or ARMRIT.
- BLS certification.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Siemens, Philips, or GE MRI systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures, including Cardiac MRI and MRI-guided breast biopsies.
- Ensure high-quality imaging with patient safety and comfort as top priorities.
- Follow MRI safety standards and best practices.
- Maintain imaging protocols and documentation in PACS/RIS.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and fellow technologists.
