About The Position

Seeking a full-time, day-shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care to patients of all ages in primary care settings, floating among locations. The role involves working with providers and staff at a teaching hospital and its affiliates to deliver family-centered care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no overnights or weekends. Schedules are made weekly. Pay is $30–$35 per hour, based on experience. Mileage for extended locations is paid weekly, and parking is free.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
CPR certification.
At least 2 years of experience as a nurse.
Previous experience in nursing or another medical field.
Proficiency in medication administration.
Computer literacy.
Familiarity with medical tools and equipment.
Ability to build rapport with patients.
Compassionate and caring demeanor.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to adjust to constant change.

Nice To Haves

Outpatient experience is a plus.
Pediatrics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for patients of all ages.
Provide basic patient care and treatment.
Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications.
Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment.
Perform minor lab procedures, including urinalysis, blood glucose testing, and drug testing.
Prepare and administer injections.
Use an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Chart and report changes in patient condition.
Educate and update patients on medical treatments.
Complete nursing rounds.
Call in prescriptions.
