About The Position

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician with interest in geriatric medicine to join their team at the Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic in Alaska. The clinic provides comprehensive adult primary care, managing both preventive medicine and chronic/complex conditions. The role involves partnering with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who handle routine check-ins, follow-up visits, and acute care needs, allowing physicians to focus on higher acuity care and complex multisystem conditions. Specialists, laboratory services, testing, imaging, and pharmacy are available on the same campus for coordinated care.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where he/she practices.
Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board.
Current DEA number.
Must apply for and maintain Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by Physician’s employment agreement.
Commitment to healthcare and concern for people in distress.

Desire to work with all types of people and work as a team member.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to meet desired business outcomes while maintaining quality of care.
Willingness to update skills constantly.

Responsibilities

Consulting on and managing complex and multisystem conditions.
Partnering with APPs who support routine check-ins, follow-up visits and acute care needs.
Providing comprehensive adult primary care, from preventive medicine to the management of chronic and complex conditions.
Focusing expertise on higher acuity care and meaningful clinical decision-making.
