About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking experienced Internal Medicine Physicians to provide inpatient medical services at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) located at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Physicians will deliver comprehensive hospital-based internal medicine care to active-duty military personnel, beneficiaries, and other eligible patients in a high-acuity military treatment facility environment. This is a full-time contract assignment for a 12-month base contract with potential extensions.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Current Board Certification in Internal Medicine by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized board.
Active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Minimum recent clinical experience practicing Internal Medicine in an inpatient hospital setting.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must be able to successfully complete DHA credentialing and privileging process.
Must be able to successfully complete background investigation and security screening.
Must be able to successfully complete drug screening, physical examination, and occupational health requirements.
Must be able to successfully complete immunization and health records verification.
Must be able to successfully complete Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Hospitalist is highly preferred.
Experience within military, federal, VA, or large acute-care facilities is highly desirable.
Previous Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Defense (DoD), or Veterans Affairs (VA) experience.
Experience working in academic, teaching, or residency-training environments.
Familiarity with military healthcare systems and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient Internal Medicine care.
Perform initial patient evaluations, histories, physical examinations, and ongoing assessments.
Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and discharge hospitalized patients.
Develop and manage treatment plans based on evidence-based medical practices.
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies, imaging, and laboratory results.
Coordinate care with specialists, nursing personnel, pharmacists, and ancillary staff.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient management discussions.
Respond to urgent and emergent patient care needs within established facility protocols.
Provide medical consultation services when requested.
Ensure compliance with DHA, Joint Commission, federal, and facility-specific standards.
Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Maintain current clinical competencies and required certifications throughout the contract period.
